I grew up in nearby Daytona Beach and it was great until I to NW FL. I think the Beaches of South Walton in Pensacola are the best, have a white sand in the world.
Miami Beach!
My favorite beach? Atlantic Beach in Jacksonville, Florida! The waves are rockin ', never completely well (in summer!) And its so easy to walk on the beach and a bar ...

I love Miami and Daytona
everywhere, but Jacksonville
Fort DeSoto was the clear winner. Do not be afraid to venture to an island of sand, if you want a little more privacy.
If it is the only place I found to enjoy snorkeling in the Gulf Coast to the point or of rocks at the southern end of Sarasota. The beautiful sandy beaches of the other makes the water very sad to see.

I've never been good. Atlantic Beach sounds like a place to be invited, even though ......
But for some reason, I always thought I wanted to go to Venice. Much quieter side of the Gulf.
